I have two points of view on this and no facts:
1) This could be the Silas Tyler that married the widow Margaret King Tyler (Moses Tyler). Silas and Margaret could have had two children before she died in early 1870. Nancy could be a widow and had two children of the same ages when she married Silas. If this is the Silas that did marry Margaret, this is the only explanation.
2) If this is not the Silas that married Margaret, then they would probably be twins, and I have no idea who Silas descends from.
------------
Henry Tyler came from England, he married Anne and had three sons. John, Henry, and Daniel. Henry's decendants stayed in and around Virginia and John's Descendants migrated to NC and then to SC. Daniel the third son was kidnapped and never heard from again. I descend from John's line that migrated to NC and SC and I have been doing research on them for 5 years. I run into a challenge when it comes to John G. Tyler, Lewis Tyler, Elias Tyler and Silas Tyler. I know their descendants but can't group them with their fathers without more proof. But the Tylers of SC owned farms near the Barnhills, Allens and Cartrettes and their Children all intermarried. Lets all compare Tyler info and maybe we can come up with the answers. Rebalexa@
