The first self service grocery store in America was a Piggly wiggly in Memphis Tennessee in 1916. And up until about 50 years before that every meal you ate you had to go and kill something or pick it or plant it or in some way shape or form have bartered some hard work with somebody who did those things and 50 years before that you would have been responsible for all the things you ate, wore, used. Stop and think about that for a minute. Could you survive if you had to do those things now?
